Get further help

We’re sorry to hear about your housing situation. Based on your answers, it looks like you may be threatened with homelessness. If that is the case, and you could be made homeless within 56 days, you should seek immediate help. Dover District Council will first assess your eligibility status and will work with you to prevent you from losing your home (or find somewhere else to live).

The Council will go through all your options. Together, you and your advisor will agree the steps you both need to take, so that you can keep your home or find somewhere new.

When you click continue, you will be taken to the Kent Homechoice website. If you already have a portal you will need to login to it and update that you are homeless. If you do not, you will need to create an account and select that you are going to be homeless within 56 days and you will be asked to complete a self-referral form. You need to have an email address to complete the form. When you have completed this form, you will be contacted by the Council to discuss your situation and they will let you know the next steps.
